Well, life seems to fly by and you wonder what happened. This summer seemed to start and end all within a week! My family and I have had a lot going on and I have been meaning to share some wonderful news. First (and the reason for the rest of the big news) is that we are expecting our third child this November! We are so excited to welcome another little one into this world. We obviously have known for quite awhile considering I am so far along but I just did not know when to tell everyone. So this has lead to me closing my downtown Chicago studio. Since I shared the space with another photographer putting up and taking down all my equipment for each shoot was so tiring and with a growing belly I was not able to do it anymore. So this has led me to open a studio close to home in the Western Suburbs. It is currently under renovation but will be available in the next couple of weeks. It is a quaint, welcoming place which I am sure you would feel at home in. The studio sessions are geared toward newborns and babies, however. Here you will have full access to all my props, backgrounds and set-ups I do not attempt on location. Portraits outside as well as “urban” shoots will be available with the studio sessions as well.
So now you know more of what has been going on I just wanted to say that sessions with moving will children will not be held after September 24th. My growing belly and ability to not run well will limit me too much. Anyone wishing to have a session with moving children really need to schedule now. I do not have any availability on the weekends for September, just weekdays, and those are slim pickin’s too.
For materniy, newborns and babies under one who are only sitting and/or crawling – I will be available for photoshoots until late October. I would recommend you schedule your session soon before my calendar fills up.
Regarding my maternity leave, it will start arount the beginning of November and last through February. I might squeeze in a session here or there but not until after the new year. It really depends on the adjustment and how me and my family are doing. Of course I will answer e-mails during this time to schedule sessions for after my maternity leave.
Okay, I think that is enough information for one night. So to the fun stuff…here are some maternity portraits from a session at the beginning of this summer (ugh). I am so far behind!
