Yes, I am still showing images from last fall! I have new sessions to share but thought I should get these out before it is really too late. First, this little man’s hair is too cute! It is just stunning. His mom told me she just can never get a black and white image of him because of that hair, but you know me, I am a sucker for a black and white image so I just had to have in here! And then her baby girl was not even 4 months and look how strong she was. She had the most big beautiful eyes…so captivating.

My little man has such a wonderful personality! He is one of the most smiley babies I have ever seen (okay maybe I am a little biased) but just look at him. I know I just want to eat him up:) 3 months gone in a blink of an eye…

So I get this question asked a lot…”Do you photograph families?” Why, yes I do! I do not have a gallery of images on my site with families because my main focus is children and babies. At sessions mom and dad are always jumping in for a few throughout the time I am there and my style is not a sit there and smile at the camera. I like to try to capture families being families though I may loosely position a family for a portrait at times. So the following post includes “family” images from a session back in the fall. This mom wanted me to capture her family just being themselves and we had a blast! Check it out…

She was so quiet, so peaceful, so scrumptious (can I say that?!) Miss A was so wonderful as were her parents. They made themselves at home in the studio and the session went great! She only woke once to have a meal then snuggled back down to sleep. Enjoy!

I photographed this proud mama back in the fall. Her and her husband are some of the nicest people I have met. I was shocked at how tiny she was, there was just this little tiny barely there basketball. How could she be due in only a few weeks?! Well some how a good o’ regular size newborn was in there being comfy as can be. I have no idea how that worked but it did!

I just cannot beleive how fast my maternity leave is flying by, um, have I said that before? Anyway just a quick few business things. First I do have a couple of sessions available for February. These are in studio sessions only and include maternity, newborns and babies. March is almost full and April has some session times open. So if you are wanting to book a session just let me know. Second, I am still not exactly sure when I will start on-location sessions again…probably April. Evers has been quite an adjustment and as of right now I do not see on-location session starting until then. Keep checking back here for updates.
So, now another session from the fall. I was so happy to spend the morning with this family. They were so kind and the kiddos were full of laughter. We had a huge bed to play on and got lucky with some fall weather to play outside.

Here is a cute little man from back before my maternity leave. He was so tiny, had a full head of hair and those lips are just too precious…so pouty and full. He was so much fun as were his parents.

So here is my new logo. Yeah, I know basically what I had before but I love it! Hopefully the newborn site will be out in February as well as a few other enhancements.

I have been working on a new website that will be filled with maternity and newborn images only as well as detailed information about sessions and the studio. Of course I will still have my current site available too. I really need to put more recent portraits in my galleries…hmmm something else to add to the list before the end of my maternity leave. Anyway here are some images you will likely see in the new website…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I am so excited about the new year and what’s to come. Both in my family life and business. My business will be undergoing some changes, one being a new logo I will be unveiling soon. It is VERY similar to my old one but I am so in love with it and feel it better represents my business and me. I am working hard to have many of the changes completed before my maternity leave is up but that time is flying by faster than I thought. I cannot wait to start photographing newborns, babies, children and families again but at the same time am loving every minute I am spending with my kiddos.
I will be posting over the next few weeks about a wonderful pregnancy/baby clothing store in the city which I LOVE, sessions that I never blogged, as well as more of my little guy (maybe I should throw in a few my other kids too!?)
Well here is one of two of my main men…I adore this portrait. I just love how small E looks in his daddy’s arms. I love the skin on skin portraits…there is just something so simple and emotional about them. I hope more new daddies will be brave enough for images like this…
